30 Monks from Xuanzang Temple Visit YEE JEE, Commending 47-Year Vegetarian Tradition and ESG Sustainability
Date:2026/08/25
Master Cifa of Sun Moon Lake’s Xuanzang Temple today (August 11) led a delegation of 30 monks to visit YEE JEE. The visit offered deep insights into the company’s development history, Taiwan manufacturing strength, and ESG sustainability achievements. At noon, YEE JEE hosted a lavish vegetarian feast and highlighted that the company has provided a vegetarian food culture for 47 years as part of its daily practice of integrating sustainability.
Master Cifa articulated that a vegetarian diet returns eating to simplicity while serving as a concrete demonstration of respect for life. By helping more people understand the meaning of vegetarianism, it encourages a return to an "intention for goodness" to love life and create a continuous cycle of harmony.

Su Ching-hao, Chairman of YEE JEE, noted that employee meals have consistently been strictly vegetarian since the company was founded. In addition to prioritizing employee health, this practice embeds environmental sustainability into corporate operations. In recent years, YEE JEE has continuously enhanced employee benefits by establishing a fitness center and cooking classroom to foster a healthier and friendlier workplace across nutrition, exercise, daily learning, and cooking.
Su stated that the company’s core business of tire repair directly extends tire lifespan and reduces scrap tire waste. Through material innovation and product refinement, YEE JEE aims to create ongoing contributions to society and the environment. YEE JEE allocates substantial resources toward environmental sustainability. Alongside workplace upgrades, it incorporates sustainable concepts into R&D for products and materials. These include innovative applications such as bromelain and pineapple fiber, which have earned multiple Taiwan Excellence Awards and Invention Awards along with recognition for eco-friendly packaging optimization.

Su added that caring for employee physical and mental well-being flows naturally into green materials, product innovation, and environmental stewardship, putting ESG principles into everyday business practice. This visit created a natural convergence between religious values of cherishing blessings and protecting life and corporate goals of sustainable co-prosperity. Together, the ideals of an "intention for goodness" and "caring for the Earth" resonate powerfully. Moving forward, YEE JEE will continue to leverage Taiwan manufacturing as its foundation to deepen healthy workplace initiatives, environmental sustainability, and product innovation. This approach will transform decades of corporate dedication into a driving force for ESG as the company steadily advances toward health, environmental protection, and mutual sustainability.
